General Insurance - Level I Course
Alberta Level I General Insurance Agent Licensing Exam Preparation Course.
Updated Lessons December 2017
We have published new material in December 2017 to match the 2017 exam.
Who needs this?
If you are new to the Insurance industry and desire to get your Agent or Broker General Insurance License Level I with the Alberta Insurance Council, this is a great way to achieve that goal. More than 76% of our students have passed their licensing exam after using this course.
After failing to pass the level 1 exam after two tries, I decided to purchase this course. I watched all the videos (taking notes) and did the practice exams 3 times each. I was able to pass the level 1 successfully with an 80%.
Thanks, Alain! Your course put me over the top!

How does it work?
To build this course, I took the material I used to teach in a 5 days classroom and created a series of condensed video lessons covering all the material you need to learn to be ready for the licensing exam. I added worksheets, mind maps and other relevant documents to support the video lessons. All of the documents are PDFs you can download to print and keep as a reference, or you can view them on the screen to save on printing. The choice is yours and the documents will be there for you for as long as you need them. We just ask that you don't share them with someone who hasn't paid for the course.
I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thank you. I took your General 1 course and I was able to pass the exam the first time! Anytime I had questions or concerns and emailed you I received a reply very quickly. I would recommend your online course to anyone who wants to learn at their own pace and time. Thank you again and when I’m ready to challenge Level 2 you will be hearing from me!.

How long does it take?
All the material is available to you within minutes of enrolling. The video lessons are available 24/7 and you can watch them from anywhere you have Internet access. If you are new to general insurance, I recommend you plan to study this material over a few weeks. That being said, you could go through all the material on a weekend if you wanted to.
I would like to say, thank you for your great course. Your videos and handouts helped a lot. I have passed the Exam, which I failed twice already prior. ... It was tricky, but I do advise extreme caution when considering an answer, as there are phrases or a word which makes it wrong. The practice quizzes were helpful, and I like to say again, thank you.

Is this course current?
YES! As you may know, the Alberta Insurance Council introduced major changes to the licensing exams for January 2016. The technical content has NOT changed, but they have "updated" the soft skills questions. As one of the approved course delivery for the AIC, we have been promised that the new exam is more reasonable and that many of the nonsense questions have been removed or at least edited for clarity.
No changes were required for the technical content of the course, and our Practice Quizzes have been updated to include new essential & broker skills questions to match the exam curriculum requirements.
"The overall pass rate for General Level 1 from all course providers in Alberta at the end of 2016 is 37.42%. You have (netLEARNnow) an overall 76% pass rate in 2016."
This is based on information we receive monthly from the Alberta Insurance Council (AIC).
This course is always up-to-date with the current exams, which means that you may find additional material and changes to the course on a regular basis. We use our private newsletter system to keep our registered students/members aware of changes specific to the course(s) that they are enrolled into.
I just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks so much for your help on the Alberta Insurance Exam. I just completed Level 1 with an 80% on my first try! I relied solely on the website's videos, study notes, practice exams, mind maps and of course, the forum (retired). I also appreciated your timely responses to my emailed questions. Your site saved me a lot of study time!!

What is covered the course
How much does it cost?
A one-time payment of $279 gives you immediate access to all the video lessons, as well as all the downloadable documents and support you need to prepare for and pass the Level I licensing exam. The standard access is set for 3 months. IF you ran out of time and you need to extend your subscription to an Insurance Licensing course. A one-time extension for one month is available within one year of the expiration date for the amount of $100. This extension is only valid for the current subscription and is not applicable to significant version upgrades even if the course keeps the same title.
I just wanted to thank you for putting your level one course together, one that could allow for me to study on my own time, and allow for me to pass the exam and get started in a new career.
My story is the same as many other Albertans, I’ve been spurned by the oilfield time and time again and now, thanks to you, I never have to go back. I am officially on the job hunt in a career I now feel fully qualified to enter.
I also wanted to let you know, that thanks to you and your course, I passed the general level one exam on my first try with a score of 76%. (not the highest score, but I’ll keep reviewing)
I’ll be sure to recommend your course to everyone I come across looking to get into the industry
Thank you again for helping me with my future, Brian D. (Summer 2014)

I'm just having an awesome day because of this. Thanks Again
